Who’s Watching the Watchdogs?

Has google.com become infected with malware itself? The same huge corporation that has taken it upon itself to preside over all matters to cleanse the internet of this trash. The same power that decides which websites are safe to view and which sites are not.

This certainly appears to be the case after performing several searches on google.com today which set off my anti-virus program with a threat detected warning box.

This situation brought up a few questions in my mind. Should Google be flagged as an “Attack Site” and blocked for several days while having to endure the embarrassment of their own warning pages? If this was any of our websites you can be sure they would not hesitate one second to label it as potentially harmful. It would only be fair and could possibly keep this infection from spreading any further. It is the same reasoning Google uses to substantiate posting of their malware warning pages on all other sites. Why should this situation be treated any differently than all the other websites they have blacklisted themselves for the same reasons?

The screenshots posted are the results of my searches today on google.com. My AVG is not allowing any results to post from these google searches due to the threat it has found.

I had reported this problem more than 10 hours ago by the only means of contact that Google provides for reporting malware…

Yet this threat remains active despite all this “suspicious activity” coming from their very own files.

That leaves me wondering now, so who is watching the watchdogs ?
