Working as a web host and acting as support for friends and family, I get to troubleshoot lots of different computer problems. Sometimes we just have to file these incidents as another I – D – 10 – T error (pronounced eye-dee-ten-tee).
You know those common problems such as someone that can’t log into their website because they have their caps lock on… or they can’t hear the sounds anymore as they play their favorite game and you find they somehow had the volume muted (although they swore the day before they never touched that setting).
Well teckies have a special code for these types of errors. An Id10t or ID-Ten-T error is “leet-speek” to describe a common error caused by the technically challenged user who has no idea about what they are doing with their computer.
Now excuse me while I help some other clueless idiot find the “any key”.
